Reflection

Finally, the AHT journey has been a wonderfully rewarding experience, providing a complete analysis of architectural progress from ancient times to the current period. Throughout the programme, I honed my Discipline-Specific Knowledge (TGC 1.0) by actively applying architectural theories, researching various styles from different historical periods, and completing booklet and poster tasks. This hands-on approach helped me comprehend architectural concepts and how they have evolved throughout time.

Furthermore, the voyage has improved my communication abilities (TGC 4.0), notably in expressing and visualising ideas through drawings and graphics. The emphasis on graphically portraying architectural concepts has not only polished my creative talents but also strengthened my ability to effectively communicate complicated topics. This ability is extremely beneficial in the area of architecture, as efficient communication is critical for cooperation and communicating design purpose.

While the programme has been a catalyst for personal and professional development, I am aware of the hurdles experienced, such as problems in memorising architectural history ideas for exams and successfully managing time. Despite these challenges, the experience has established in me a lifelong learning mentality (TGC 2.0), as seen by my proactive search for solutions for an unknown AR app, recognising the larger chance to gain new skills. Moving forward, I am committed to overcoming obstacles and honing my skills, anticipating continued growth in visually expressing architectural components and a greater understanding of architectural theory, including intentions, concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language, and contextual relationships.
